The loudest table in the building, now online.
Pass line with full odds is the cheapest bet in any casino.
Craps has the steepest learning curve in the casino and the gentlest maths once you climb it — a combination that scares most players into worse games. The layout's forty betting options are a distraction: the actual game is one bet, the pass line, resolved across a shooter's rolls, and everything else on the felt is optional noise ranging from harmless to predatory.
The pass line works like this: the first roll (the come-out) wins on 7 or 11, loses on 2, 3 or 12, and otherwise establishes a point. The shooter then rolls until either the point repeats (pass wins) or a 7 lands (pass loses). That single bet carries a 1.41% house edge — already among the best in the building. Behind it sits the only zero-edge bet in any casino: the odds bet, an addition to your pass line after a point is set, paid at true odds. Taking full odds dilutes your combined edge below 0.5%.
The middle of the table is where craps earns its house money. Proposition bets — any seven, hardways, single-roll numbers — pay dramatic odds and carry edges from 9% to nearly 17%, worse than double-zero roulette. The same felt hosts the casino's best bet and nearly its worst, a few inches apart. The disciplined line is almost comically short: pass line, maximum odds, perhaps a come bet or two to spread action, and nothing in the middle, ever.
Online craps comes as RNG (instant, any stake, dice resolved by certified random draw) and increasingly as live dealer, with a stickperson and physical dice on stream. The maths is identical in both. For newcomers, the RNG table's demo mode is the ideal classroom — learn the come-out sequence and odds mechanics with play money, because the game's jargon is far more intimidating than its actual decision tree, which fits on an index card.

Every claim in this craps guide traces back to the same process.
Every rating on this site starts with a deposit of our own money. We open accounts the way any player would — no press contacts, no operator assistance — fund them with the methods we recommend, and play the games we review. Nothing is rated from a press kit.
Withdrawal timing is the core measurement. We request cashouts at unremarkable times on unremarkable amounts, complete whatever verification is demanded, and log the elapsed time from request to funds-in-wallet. That number, not the operator's advertised range, is what appears in our reviews — and it is the primary factor in our rankings, because payout behaviour is the one thing an operator cannot market its way around.
Bonuses are claimed for real and tracked to completion. We enter the codes, monitor the wagering counters for accuracy, deliberately test the max-bet caps and game weightings, and record whether the cleared balance actually withdrew. Offers that behaved differently from their published terms are removed from the site regardless of how the discrepancy favoured us.
Support is tested with genuinely awkward questions — specific bonus clauses, withdrawal edge cases — logged for response time and, more importantly, accuracy. Games are spot-checked against their published RTPs through provider verification tools where available.
Ratings are reviewed monthly and bonus terms re-verified weekly. When an operator's behaviour changes, the review changes; several casinos that passed initial testing have been delisted after follow-up cycles. The date on each page reflects its last verification.
The full methodology, and the analyst behind it, is documented on our author page.
The US online casino map has two layers. Seven states — New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware — run fully regulated online casino markets where operators are licensed in-state, player funds sit in segregated accounts, and a gaming commission with binding authority stands behind every dispute. Ohio's land-based operators, represented on this site by Jack.com, anchor the next expansion wave.
Inside those states, our recommendation is unambiguous: play regulated. The bonuses are smaller because licensed operators pay state taxes and follow advertising rules, but the protections are categorical rather than incremental — audited RNGs, banned withdrawal-reversal tactics, enforced responsible-gambling tools, and a regulator who answers complaints with authority rather than sympathy.
Everywhere else, US players use offshore operators licensed in Curacao or Panama. For the player this is generally not criminalised — state laws target operators — but it is unregulated from the player's side: no local authority compels an offshore casino to pay. That vacuum is precisely what this site's testing methodology exists to fill, and why payout verification, not bonus size, leads every ranking we publish.
The map moves yearly. Illinois and Indiana have active casino legislation; sports betting's spread ahead of casino play has built regulatory infrastructure in thirty-plus states that casino bills can inherit. Our state-relevant pages are updated as laws change — the safest assumption is that this paragraph is the most perishable one on the page.
Gambling is entertainment with a known price, not an income strategy — every game on this site carries a house edge, and the long-run direction of any balance is down. The players who enjoy this hobby for decades are the ones who price it like a night out: a budget set before the first spin, spent without regret, never chased.
Every operator we list provides deposit limits, session limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and the regulated brands are required to. Set the deposit limit when you open the account — it is the one tool that works before you need it rather than after.
If gambling has stopped being fun — if you are chasing losses, hiding play, or gambling money that had another job — free, confidential help exists. The National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER connects 24/7, and the NCPG's national self-exclusion pilot now covers multiple states with a single registration.
Pass line with maximum odds behind it. The pass line alone carries a 1.41% edge; the odds bet is paid at true odds — zero house edge — and dilutes your combined disadvantage below 0.5%.
The middle of the table: proposition and hardway bets carry 9%-17% edges. The big 6/8 and field bets are also poor value. If a bet resolves in one roll and pays flashy odds, it is priced against you.
Mathematically identical — certified RNG dice or physical dice on a live stream, with the same layout and payouts. The only thing missing is the table noise, which some consider a feature.
